Britney's Dad took control of her affairs and empire on Feb 1st after she was released from a L.A. hospital where she was held on a psychiatric evaluation. The L.A. courts felt Britney was unable to continue caring for herself.
Her father's control has been extended until July 31, attorneys have been brought in to make decisions for her and audit her business deals. This all happened after the second time in one month that Britney's mental status had been questioned by doctors, so there wasn't much question that the court was acting in the pop star's best interest.
However, news this week is that Britney is back to work. She is rehearsing and taping an episode of the television comedy "How I Met Your Mother" and also released a new movie video. This seems to call into question how sick the star really is. When it's been less than forty five days since she was first legally unable to make her own decisions. Britney does seem well enough to function on the set.
On Monday March 17th we might find out more regarding Britney's mental status at a hearing. This hearing is about the temporary restraining order against her former manager Sam Lufti. There is new arguments whether Mr. Lufti or those handling her now are to blame for her mental problems.
Your guess is as good as mine what will be coming next, but right now Britney states she is "having a blast" with her new work endeavors, especially on set. She's at least not adventuring out in strange hair and accents, so she must be doing better.
