Mom Claims Britney Spears 'Drugged and Kept Prisoner' by Sam Lutfi

Pop star Britney Spears was imprisoned in her house by her "cruel" ex-manager, the stars' mom says in her latest book, Through The Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.

Lynne Spears writes Sam Lutfi fed Britney sedatives and anti psychotic pills – by grinding them up and slipping them into the star's food and drink.

She says "He said that was the reason she had been quiet for three days. She had been drugged."

She also says Lutfi told miss Spears doctors she needed her to be in a sleep-induced coma to get other medication and promised the troubled star he would help her get her kids back after she lost custody.

She also claimed he told the singer, "Take the pills. You should do what I tell you to see your babies."

Lynne added, "She was sad, floundering, ripe for a predator to come along. Britney was open to this man who rode in on a white horse."

Lynne went on to say how Lutfi claimed Britney would kill herself if he left, and threatened: "If you try to get rid of me, she'll be dead and I'll p*** on her grave."

Lynne said she was afraid of Lutfi's "cruelty, hostility and lies."

She claimed he disabled Britney's cars to stop her leaving the house and hid her phone to cut her off from family and friends.

She said, "Within a month of meeting, Sam was in complete control of her life. He appointed himself as her gatekeeper, and there was no one he wanted to keep the gate closed to more than Britney's family."

Even Britney’s lover – British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib – was in Lutfi’s way.

The jealous manager reduced Britney Spears to tears, telling her she "cared more about her boyfriend than her children' and she didn't deserve to have the kids.
