Ex Reveals Britney Doesn't Want Her Kids Full Time

(Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Britney Spears doesn't want her kids full time, her first husband Jason Alexander says. The pop star's husband of 55 hours tells In Touch magazine that Spears confessed to him that she wants to see her kids but not all the time.

"She wants to see them, but she doesn't want to be a full-time mom," Alexander says. "She said it doesn't matter if she doesn't get them back full-time, and that she can always have another kid later on."

Spears, who married Alexander in Las Vegas in 2004 and divorced him 55 hours later, has apparently been keeping in touch with him recently. He says that the 26-year-old singer called him around Christmas and they have been talking to each other ever since. He says, "[Britney] said she'd call me back, and we've been speaking ever since."

Spears is involved in a bitter custody battle with another ex-husband, Kevin Federline, for their sons, Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2. She was stripped of her rights to see them after an episode in January where Spears had a clash with the police.)

I can't say this news really surprises me. She's having a hard enough time taking care of herself right now.

At least maybe Britney realizes the kids are better off where they are right now.

Of course if it wasn't for the paparazzi she wouldn't have noticed Britney in the first place.

Britney Spears' father can retain temporary control of the singer's assets and affairs until March, a Los Angeles court has ruled.

James Spears was granted "temporary conservatorship" over his 26-year-old daughter's life two weeks ago when she was admitted to a psychiatric ward.

In addition, Spears' brother Bryan, 30, has been named co-trustee, along with a legal firm.

A court creates a conservatorship when a person cannot care for themselves.

James Spears' lawyer Jeryll Cohen also told the hearing investigators had been struggling to find the singer's sometime manager, Sam Lutfi, to serve a restraining order against him.

'Stake out'

Last week a court banned Mr Lutfi from going near the singer, after her mother claimed he had taken virtually over the star's life and had even been drugging her.

"We have made great effort to have Mr Lutfi served," said Mr Cohen.

"We staked out his residence at the hospital. We did many things we do not want to discuss right now. We have information he is intentionally avoiding service," he added.

The restraining order means Mr Lutfi must not contact Spears in any way and must stay away from the homes of her parents and her siblings.

Court documents have also revealed Mr Spears has been granted permission to sack his daughter's business manager, Howard Grossman.
