Britney spent the Easter weekend with her mother and father at her Malibu beach home - her first visit to the property in months.

The currently shut-in Britney is said to have seen friends on Saturday and was spotted taking a quiet stroll along Pacific Cove with Jamie and Lynne Spears on Sunday morning.

A source close to the family explained: “They thought it would be a nice relaxing break for her, a change of scene without being too different to cause her any stress or anxiety.

The visit is also said to be a goodbye visit to the rented property. Britney’s conservators Jamie Spears and estate lawyer Andrew Wallet are said to have been given permission to end the lease on the $30,000 a month house in a bid to save money, and Jamie is also said to be considering moving the star back to the family’s home town in Louisiana to take her away from the “bad influences” in Los Angeles.

Jamie's strategy is just one of his many plans to make certain Britney, 26, will stay away from "bad influences." Among his other ideas are a court request to keep her away from clubs, drugs, and her paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.

An insider reveals, "Britney has been feeling lonely and isolated since her dad has taken control of her life. He hopes to take her back to Louisiana where she will be surrounded by her family."

"Jamie also hopes it will give her the chance to mend her troubled relationship with her mom and her recent rift with her pregnant sister. And he hopes to keep her away from the negative L.A. scene and people who've been using her."

After their sibling falling-out, Britney and her 16-year-old pregnant sister Jamie Lynn have reportedly been keeping in touch nowadays. The pop star is apparently giving the Nickelodeon star's soon-to-be-born child baby stuff and toys without regard to the price tags.

Meanwhile, Britney is also reportedly planning to open her own dance studio. She has recently been giving young children dance lessons and found it enjoyable.

A source tells celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's site, "It wil lbe right near Millenium [her favorite dance studio in the Valley]. And she plans to call it The Basement."

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson has shot down rumors claiming that Britney Spears would be performing a gospel gig at his church.

Rumors started off after a British tabloid The Mirror revealed that the troubled pop star would be performing a gig at his catholic church in California.

The reports also claimed that Spears was to have “a new song written for her for the occasion”,

According to TMZ.com, Gibson’s representative has dismissed the rumours insisting there isn’t “an ounce of truth to it,” .

Gibsons church, known as The Holy Family Catholic Church holds a daily mass in Latin and follows an ancient ideology of Catholicism.

However, it is not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church because it does not acknowledge the authority of the Pope or the Vatican.

Spears 'Having a Blast' on CBS' 'Mother'

NEW YORK (AP) — Britney Spears is relishing her new role on "How I Met Your Mother." Spears has been taping her much-hyped cameo on the CBS sitcom for the March 24 episode, in which she portrays a receptionist in a dermatologist's office named Abby who crushes on Ted (Josh Radnor).

"Working at `How I Met Your Mother' has been so terrific," Spears said in a statement Thursday. "Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!"

CBS spokesman Kelli Raftery said Spears attended a table reading with the cast on Monday, did a "run-through" on Tuesday and filmed scenes Wednesday. Raftery confirmed reports that Spears' divorced parents — James and Lynne — dropped by the "Mother" set on Wednesday.

Spears was scheduled to shoot scenes Thursday.

Radnor told People.com that "on the first day of the shoot, Britney knew her lines better than I knew mine. She's been great to work with."

Spears has previous TV sitcom experience playing a character on a 2006 episode of "Will and Grace." She was also the host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" in 2000.

"How I Met Your Mother," returning Monday with all-new episodes following the writers strike, co-stars Radnor, Jason Segal, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris as twentysomethings living in New York City.

Spears has been under the conservatorship of her father, James, following bizarre behavior and two hospitalizations. She is also locked in a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over the former couple's sons, Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2.

Britney Spears' father tried to fire her business manager after he provided her with a car in violation of a court order, legal documents have shown.

Papers filed in a Los Angeles court state Howard Grossman had been asked to deliver a car to James Spears, who has temporary control of the star's estate.

But the 26-year-old was seen driving around Los Angeles shortly after being released from a psychiatric ward.

Mr Grossman has refused to confirm or deny whether he has been sacked.

It is also alleged he violated court orders by arranging meetings for Ms Spears and her lawyer against her parents' wishes.

Mr Spears has legal control of his daughter's affairs until Thursday.

"The temporary co-conservators have lost all confidence in their ability to work with Mr Grossman," Mr Spears wrote in papers submitted to the court.

Restraining order

Court Commissioner Reva Goetz gave Spears' parents the right to fire Mr Grossman after a private hearing last week.

James Spears' lawyer, Jeryll Cohen, said Mr Grossman claimed he delivered the car to the singer because she had requested it.

"He wanted to comply with her request because he wanted to 'build her confidence in him'," Mr Cohen said.

The legal papers also claim Mr Grossman refused to hand over e-mails from Sam Lutfi, Ms Spears' friend and sometime manager.

A restraining order has been put in place to prevent Mr Lutfi from contacting the singer, after her mother Lynne accused him of drugging her daughter and cutting off her phone lines.

Earlier this month her parents released a statement stating they were "concerned" about her health after she was released from hospital against the recommendation of her psychiatrist.

Britney Spears is reportedly pregnant again with her third child.

The father of the baby is allegedly music producer JR Rotem, who apparently confirmed the news by saying: "It's true."

Spears emailed a copy of her ultrasound scan to friends, confiding that she was just over four weeks pregnant.

Spears, who lost physical custody of her two young boys to ex-husband Kevin Federline, has reportedly been having an on-off relationship with Rotem since her split from Federline last year.

Spears has also been rumored to be adopting 6-year-old Chinese twins after she lost custody of her sons.

She was first linked to Jonathan Rotem soon after her split from Federline last year.

Britney's not looking for another husband," claims an insider. "But she does like having a man in her life."

Father's Legal Power

A Superior Court commissioner gave Britney Spears' father the power to fire her business manager, according to court documents.

Commissioner Reva Goetz also ordered Howard Grossman to turn over all documents, records and assets relating to BritneySpears to James Spears, who is the court-appointed conservator of his daughter and her estate.

The order came the day after Goetz held an emergency closed-door hearing on a motion brought by Spears' father and her lawyer Andrew Wallet, who is part of the conservatorship.

Spears parents said they feared their daughters life was at risk after she was released early from a hospital psychiatric ward.

Spears' affairs were placed under a temporary conservatorship after she was taken to UCLA Medical Center on Jan. 31 under heavy police escort.

Conservatorships are granted for people deemed unable to care for themselves or their affairs.

The conservatorship lasts until Feb. 14.

Spears was discharged from the hospital over the recommendation of her psychiatrist and against the wishes of her parents.

Her parents said they were extremely disappointed she was released and they said they were deeply concerned about her safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk.

Spears slipped out of the hospital unnoticed by the pack of paparazzi that follow her every move in public, but they gave chase later when she left her home behind the wheel of her Mercedes-Benz and eventually showed up at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Britney Threatens Paris Hilton

Britney Spears is threatening to release video footage of one-time friend Paris Hilton in a lesbian romp with a mutual pal if she doesn't start treating her better.

A source claims a letter Spears' friends have sent to Hilton demands she stop being rude to Britney and members of her entourage.

They reportedly threatened to leak the footage, which shows Hilton in a compromising position with another Woman, unless her attitude changes.

A source says, "The letter warns Paris that if she continues being rude to people, the footage will be leaked online."

Reportedly the former friends fell out at Spears' 26th birthday parties in Hollywood last weekend.

A source close to Hilton says, "It's obvious Britney and her bratty pals are being silly.

Paris laughed when she got the letter and said it was c**p."

Hilton was the star of sex tape '1 Night In Paris', which was shot by her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon,Pamela Anderson's new husband.

Britney Released From Psychiatric Ward

Britney Spears was released from a psychiatric ward at the UCLA Medical Center after nearly a week of treatment.

It was unclear where she was going, but sources said she might head to one of her homes before seeking additional treatment.

Unlike the spectacle surrounding her trip to the Westwood medical facility last week, she slipped out with relatively little fanfare.

A private security detail escorted her in contrast to last week when more than a dozen Los Angeles police officers escorted Spears to the hospital via motorcade.

Her release comes after Spears' mother, in court documents, said her daughter's self-described friend and manager, Sam Lutfi, exerted near-total control over her, cutting her phone lines, taking away her cellphone chargers, disabling her vehicles and grinding up pills to place in her food.

Spears' mother made the allegations in a request for a restraining order against Lutfi.

The restraining order, approved bars Lutfi from coming within 250 yards of Spears. Spears'father and an attorney have been granted temporary conservatorship over Spears and her estate.

According to sources, a grand theft report was filed by Spears' father, Jamie Spears, after she was taken to the UCLA hospital last week.

The grand theft report alleges that paintings, jewelry and other valuables were taken from his daughter's Coldwater Canyon home.

"A limited number of people had access to the home in that period," the source said.

Britney Taken To Hospital

BritneySpears was taken from her home by ambulance early Thursday and escorted to the hospital by more than a dozen police officers in cars, on motorcycles and in helicopters.

A Los Angeles police officer said Spears was being taken to the hospital to "get help."

Unidentified authorities said Spears was being placed on a "mental evaluation hold."

There were reports that her psychiatrist felt Spears, who is followed night and day by paparazzi, was a danger to herself because of reckless driving and a recent deterioration in her behavior.

Spears was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where her mother, Lynne, was seen leaving its psychiatric hospital at about 5:30 a.m.

The source close to Spears said she went willingly to the hospital and is "comfortable" about receiving medical care.

"She'll be in there for at least 72 hours getting evaluated. She might even stay longer," the source claimed.

"She's more comfortable this time.

She came into the waiting area, had a cigarette, made a joke about being there again.

But who knows what will happen.

All we can hope for is that she gets better."

A plan was reportedly in place in the event Spears needed medical attention.

"Something like this has been in the works since the (last trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center).

She has been seeing her psychiatrist every day," the source said.

"No one thought this would happen this soon, but it was clear if she stayed up for more than three days she'd have to get sent for help, since that could cause real damage.

The last time she slept was Saturday."

The source also said that the arrangement to get Spears help worked out just as planned.

"The motorcade and everything was planned, it was already in the works to have them block off the road and airspace.

It worked out perfectly."
